Voxela, Inc. has entered into a solution partnership with TOTEC Amenity, Inc. (headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi, Japan), the manufacturer and distributor of the "Mimamori Life" elderly monitoring system. Together, the two companies will deliver a comprehensive monitoring solution for eldercare facilities.
Through this partnership, TOTEC Amenity's bed sensor technology and Voxela's AI-powered video platform "VCare" are integrated to provide unified monitoring coverage from the bed to the entire facility space.
Partnership Overview
Mimamori Life uses load sensors placed under bed legs to enable 24-hour vital sign recording, pre-exit motion detection, sleep pattern tracking, and weight measurement, all without direct contact. VCare, on the other hand, is a care management platform that uses vision AI to monitor entire rooms and common areas in real time.
By combining these two systems, the partnership delivers the following value to care facilities:
- Comprehensive, zero-blind-spot monitoring through bed-based vitals (Mimamori Life) and spatial behavior tracking (VCare)
- Real-time AI detection and instant notification of incidents such as falls, bed exits, and wandering
- AI-generated incident reports that drastically reduce documentation and reporting workload
- An incident analytics dashboard enabling data-driven accident prevention strategies
Background
In eldercare facilities, approximately 50% of frontline staff working hours are consumed by indirect tasks such as documentation, reporting, and coordination. While sensor technology has digitized measurement, post-detection response and report writing still depend heavily on manual effort.
This partnership combines Mimamori Life's precision sensor-based monitoring with VCare's AI-powered video understanding, automated documentation, and analytics. The goal is to establish a continuous cycle from detection to improvement, fundamentally reducing indirect care work on the front lines.
Solution Overview Video
A recording of Voxela's presentation "Beyond Detection: How AI is Transforming Indirect Care" from the joint webinar hosted by TOTEC Amenity on May 20, 2026, is now available. Watch to learn about the integrated solution and real-world implementation examples.
This joint webinar is planned to be held on a regular basis going forward.
